Learning to climb trad opens up a whole new world of climbing.

No longer are you bound to bolts and are joining in to the long story of climbing with your own protection.

We will focus on rock types, different pieces of trad gear, pros and cons of gear, how to inspect a placement to tell if it’s good or not, and some of key factors to consider when placing a piece.

This is a ground-school format, we will not be climbing.
